Maersk Logistics in the Netherlands started in 1984 and nowadays, considerable experience within international consolidation, warehousing & distribution, forwarding & groupage, airfreight, customised logistics solutions, customs clearance, as well as project forwarding has been established.
Below are brief descriptions of some of our local services:
IET
Our Intra European Transport (IET) unit is responsible for operating daily groupage services between Rotterdam and all major cities in Europe. By combining all our volumes in the specialised transport division, we are able to be our customers' competetive edge when it comes to price and quality.
Warehousing and Distribution
We operate two owned warehouses in the port area: One in Rotterdam and one in the Europort, with a surface totalling approx. 17,000 sq.m. Of vital importance is the 'Entrepot E' licence granted for the warehouse in Rotterdam. This licence enables us to arrange all customs formalities without physical intervention of customs officials.
Customs clearance
Maersk Logistics are linked directly to the SAGITTA computed which enables us to custom clear your cargo directly upon arrival in the port. Also we offer the possibility to act as Limited Fiscal Representative for EU based companies not having their own office in The Netherlands.
Project Forwarding
We also offer Project Forwarding or 'Turn Key Management'.
