Maersk Logistics Wins Poundstretcher Business
Leading British Retailer Poundstretcher recently awarded the management of their supply chain to Maersk Logistics.
Copenhagen, 6th January 2004. Maersk Logistics, a recognised leader in the international logistics market, has won the contract to manage the entire import supply chain for unique, added value variety UK retailer Poundstretcher.
From 1 January 2004 Maersk Logistics will support Poundstretcher’s direct sourcing policy as well as manage and control their imports from both Asia and Europe. They will also oversee Poundstretcher’s vendor management, purchase order management, documentation processes and carrier management. All operations underpinned by Maersk Logistics’ IT tools, allowing full visibility throughout the supply chain.
