What have we done since September 11 2001?

A.P. Moller - Maersk Group has formed a Global Liner Security Committee with headquarters in Copenhagen and chaired by the Chief Operations Officer. A Liner Security Officer has been appointed to manage and coordinate our worldwide security initiatives. We are working together with many governments and international organisations to ensure that the transport industry becomes as secure as possible.


What are we doing to comply with new laws and regulations related to port and maritime security?

Our Washington D.C. office, our North American Security and Compliance Group and our global organisation with headquarters in Copenhagen are active participants in the industry's efforts to ensure the prompt passage of effective legislation and the implementation of practical and effective regulations. Our organisation strives to be fully compliant with security measures required by government.


What is C-TPAT all about?

The Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) is a joint government-business initiative to build cooperative relationships that strengthen overall supply chain and border security. By participating in this first worldwide supply chain security initiative, companies will ensure a more secure supply chain for their employees, suppliers and customers.
