Security
Maersk Logistics and the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group are committed to show constant care and prevent breaches of security associated with our operations. We rank security considerations equally with commercial and operational factors in managing our operations.
In close cooperation with relevant authorities, we take all measures necessary to constantly maintain the highest security standards in our organisation, in shore facilities as well as aboard our vessels, thereby providing the highest level of security for our customers and employees.
U.S. and Canada
The U.S. Customs 24-Hour Advance Vessel Manifest Rule affects the shipment documentation process for cargo on vessels with a port call in the United States. Carriers and shippers alike are responsible for complying with the rule. The Canada Border Services Agency (also formerly and still commonly referred to as ‘Canada Customs’ has implemented a rule similar, but not identical to the U.S. Customs 24-Hour Advance Vessel Manifest Rule. Should you have questions or require any assistance with this or related issues, please contact your local office.
