Our history
The use of containers in the liner services increased in the 1970s. This paved way for specialised loading (consolidation) of containers with the aim to better utilise the container space. Consequently, shippers and other transportation customers required improved information and documentation. And it was out of this need that Maersk Logistics was established in 1977.
During the 1980s, services such as local transportation, customs clearance, co-ordination between our customers, vendors, and shipping lines, airfreight services etc. were introduced.
