EDI - Electronic Data Interchange
Maersk Logistics currently interfaces with most of the ERP systems available today, e.g. SAP, Oracle, Rockport, and a variety of client developed or proprietary systems. We support standard and customised EDI solutions to transfer information between Maersk Logistics and you at numerous points of the supply chain, e.g.:
- Advance Shipment Notification, providing you with visibility of incoming shipments and allowing effective inbound planning
- Purchase order upload, providing Maersk Logistics with your order details for pro-active follow-up with vendors at origin
- Container status information, providing you with updates on critical milestones
Additionally, we have carrier interfaces in place with the largest EDI capable carriers, for improved data quality, process speed and visibility to the benefit of our customers – as well as to support our customers’ needs to meet Customs manifest requirements.
